The notorious Iron Man most recently known as the scientific genius Tony Stark played by actor Robert Downey, Jr. in the 2010 smash hit cinematic film Iron Man and Iron Man 2 has earned a very iconic place in the comic book realm as well as the main stream pop world.
The story goes that the lavish living, ground breaking engineer is slowly suffering from a major heart condition when he is kidnapped by a rebelling force that values him for his superior experience in the technology of weapon making in hopes to create the ultimate weapon of mass destruction.
Tony is held captive as a slave until the weapon is complete. Little do the kidnappers know that Stark has been constructing a retaliation tool of his own, a powerful suit of armor to aid him in his escape. After busting free from captivity, Tony begins to use the suit to protect the world as his new known alias, Iron Man. Through his situations of being the iconic guardian, Iron Man faces many forces to reckon with, and even teams up with an old friend as a nearly indestructible Cyborg hero duo. This is most definitely one of the best Marvel Comics and Stan Lee creations of all time and deserves all the credit that it gets.
